The route is largely sandy single track and the start / finish venue a spectacular picnic site below the shady flatcrown trees.

The course exits the picnic site onto the beach for 1km, before climbing through the dunes onto a contour road. This road undulates, parallel to the coast, before turning inland along the edge of the mangrove-lined lagoon. The final few km descend through the forested single track back to the spectacular picnic site below the shady flatcrown trees.
